I am not Dietrich Bonhoffer.

Just for the record: I wish Mr. Trump a long and happy life, but I expect that he may be in for a rough next few weeks. I am not a political operative, just a math nerd and statistician and student of history.

First, Trump is 78.4 years old and suffering from dementia, according to several psychologists I’ve seen on YouTube … (2) He can be expected to live 9.43 years in the absence of health problems. of which he is reported to plenty. He also publicly opposes vaccine mandates, but his private behavior on this matter is unknown.

(3) Self-inflicted harm … how do the demented die? Probably anything from drowning in the bathtub to falling down flights of stairs to dropping a running hair dryer or electric shaver in the water and getting a severe shock or even be electrocuted.

(4) Other-inflicted harm …

Dietrich Bonhoffer was an anti-Nazi advocate who was vocally opposed to the Nazis. He was accused of collaborating in the plot against Hitler. He was hanged by those same Nazis on 9 April 1945.

There is a long tradition in military of self-sacrifice for the good of the nation. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are various plots going on right now by military members who may be contemplating a Kamikaze style attack on some vehicle transporting Mr. Trump.

I also think there is some evidence that Mr. Trump has mainly been a shell for rich interests who may want to just offer him some bribe to retire to Venezuela after maybe a few days in office. Or they may announce to a grieving nation that he’s had a heart attack.

A plot inside the US Secret Service is also possible. I am an amateur (in event of war I plan to serve as a hostage or a medic) and I have no direct knowledge of how the Secret Service operates. But the two unsuccessful attempts on Trump showed serious flaws in the protocol used for detecting such threats. Apparently it still depends on human operatives to watch carefully at all times.

Humans are not good at this, history and human psychology show … if you are staring out into the grass for very long you may miss some quick silent action to your right or left, for example.

I can imagine a better system to watch for threats … if an AI could be set up to do this it would do a much better job of protecting you, Mr. Trump.

Best of luck, Mr. Trump … please keep careful watch these next few weeks.

President-Elect Donald J. Trump
