Considering Applying to Wheel of Fortune? It’s not as easy as the show!

Just earlier this evening (Jan 25, 2025) I tried out for Wheel of Fortune. My Lovely Wife and I watch most evenings on the Internet and we almost always are ahead of most of the on-air talent in solving the puzzles.

BUT! The puzzles one has to solve to get the application in are MUCH HARDER (IMHO) … This is for three reasons that I found:

(1) the Solve thing uses an on-screen keyboard rather than the computer keyboard, and I fumbled around with that and missed the first (relatively) easy one from that.

After that, they were mostly difficult to impossible .. just a few letters to give a hint instead of the increasing numbers on the show.

I just wanted to warn anybody else from getting too overconfident!

I got the email from Wheel of Fortune tonight trying to get me to run through the list of words. I got the first one: “JUMPING AT THE CHANCE” but the “solve button was up for 30 minutes and counting and I have to be in bed no later than 10pm tonight as I have breakfast tomorrow with my church buddies. So beware!
