Food banks: does your needy neighbor know about them

One positive thing about my trip to Walmart last night: there was a young (17 year old) waif standing outside saying he was hungry and could I get him something in the store. I asked him to come in with me but he said “I’m not allowed in there” (Caught shoplifting?) I don’t know but I wouldn’t be at all surprised.

I bought him his peanut butter and jelly frozen stuff and a (“blue Mountain Dew”) He said he would email me about the food bank, but I think this deserved a wider audience. There’s no reason for anyone to go hungry in this culture.
