Why I’ll never use Paypal again

Paypal advertises instant transfers …

And I’ve used them regularly for years to transfer money to various people, and it always took just a minute or two. This was before Zelle or any of the other quick-transfer apps were available.

But just recently after a Series of Unfortunate Events including my car having to be towed at a price I had to pay for and took almost my entire paycheck for that month, my wife got an emergency temporary loan from her cousin and sent it via Paypal to an account I had at a secondary credit union I use, BECU. So far so good.

But when I tried to transfer to my main account, First Tech Credit Union, it said “this transfer will be completed in 4 to 7 business days” … and I just checked and indeed it’s still not there.

From now on: Zelle or the Cash app from Square. Readers? Anybody else had this sort of problem?
